Austin County’s newest school, Providence High School, participated in the Austin County Fair Parade with their float that they created. The float featured all the “bells and whistles” of a re-creation of the Transcontinental Railroad when “East met West.” The students of Providence High School built, decorated, and rode on the float as either railroad workers, or train conductors. The students pictured are Julianne Carey, Dakota Alvarez, Hunter Bilyeu, and Cathryn Carey.
