Webinar topics

The hourlong webinar will feature speaker Brittany Chesser, AgriLife Extension aquatic vegetation management program specialist and lead diagnostic scientist at AgriLife Extension’s Aquatic Diagnostics Laboratory.

Chesser said the webinar goal is to help pond owners address aquatic vegetation issues before they get out of hand.

She will start with discussing why vegetation, like “pond scum” or cattails, may be taking over ponds. Then she will cover how to address these issues using different prevention strategies, including cultural, physical, mechanical and biological methods, to control nuisance vegetation.

There will be a 30-minute question-and-answer session at the end of the webinar.

For more information, contact Chesser at [email protected].
