Last night at 8:10 PM, firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire involving a large metal building with connecting horse stalls located on the outskirts of the Orchard VFD’s district.

The blaze, which lit up the rural skyline, prompted a coordinated response from multiple departments. Mutual aid was swiftly provided by the Wallis, San Felipe/Frydek, and East Bernard Fire Departments. Their combined efforts were crucial in containing the flames and preventing further spread to nearby properties.

The large metal structure, believed to be a barn or storage facility, sustained significant damage, though no injuries have been reported at this time. Firefighters worked late into the night to ensure all hot spots were extinguished and to safeguard surrounding structures.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office.

More updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
