The Austin County Sheriff’s Office has released information about a shooting that happened on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in Sealy, TX.  A disturbance was reported at Pecan Grove Rd. in Sealy.  Austin County Sheriff’s deputies responded and encountered an armed suspect who fired at least one round at them.  Deputies returned fire fatally wounding the suspect.  The incident is now under investigation by the Texas Rangers.  The Austin County Sheriff’s Office has advised that any and all questions regarding the matter be directed to the Texas Rangers.  We will update this story if more information becomes available.
