The ninth-ranked Blinn College volleyball team remained undefeated in Region XIV play with a home sweep of Tyler Junior College at the Kruse Center in Brenham, Texas.
The 25-10, 25-7, 25-16 victory pushed the Buccaneers’ winning streak to 22 consecutive matches as they improved to 29-2 overall and 7-0 in region matchups.
“Our team faced some adversity this weekend, and I thought the girls played really well despite that,” Blinn volleyball coach Terry Gamble said. “I absolutely love this team and I am so proud of how they responded and played tonight.”
Blinn now has 22 sweeps on the year.

NJCAA Division I kills leader continued her impressive campaign with a team-high 21 kills against the Apaches. The sophomore right-side hitter has racked up 489 kills this season. Following Dorotik was freshman outside hitter MaKenna Loo, whose eight kills bumped her season total to 343 as she trails only Dorotik in that stat category nationally.
Freshman outside hitter Greta Rakow tacked on seven kills.
Freshman setter Leah Hoss dished out 26 set assists, while fellow freshman set Bromli Watson added 12.
At the service line, freshman outside hitter Greta Rakow and sophomore libero Cierra Pesak had two aces apiece.

Defensively, Pesak protected the Bucs’ side of the flores with a team-leading 13 digs. Loo added eight and Hoss chipped in six.
At the net, Dorotik had a pair of solo blocks, while Watson and freshman middle blocker Jana Cetkovic each tallied one.
The Bucs season continues with a region road trip to Wharton County Junior College at 6 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 10, in Wharton, Texas.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 49 national championships since 1987.
