The 14th-ranked Blinn College volleyball team finished the Blinn Invitational with sweeps of Dallas College-Richland and Dallas College-North Lake on Saturday at the Kruse Center in Brenham, Texas.
The Buccaneers ended the tournament with a 4-0 record and improved to 22-4 overall.
“I thought we played well all weekend,” Blinn head coach Terry Gamble said. “To go undefeated in the tournament was great, and I’m proud of the girls and how they played.”
In its opening match Saturday, Blinn secured a 25-14, 25-13, 25-13 win over Richland.
The Buccaneers followed that victory with a 25-5, 25-9, 25-14 win over North Lake.
Blinn returns to action with a Region XIV home tilt against No. 13 Navarro College at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Kruse Center. The Buccaneers’ 11 remaining matchups this season will all be conference games.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
