Interstate 10 will be changing traffic patterns starting next week. The Sealy PD released the information on their social media page yesterday. The following information was taken from that post which was conveyed via the I-10 Construction Contractor:
“A new traffic pattern will be established next week for IH-10 main lane traffic utilizing the new west bound (WB) overpasses at BNSF Rail Road and SH 36.
The first phase will shift the west bound traffic to the new WB main lanes BNSF and SH 36 overpasses, starting Tuesday at 7:00 PM, February 22nd. See the attached graphic “WB Traffic Switch BNSF & SH36”.
Webber is planning to shift east bound (EB) main lane traffic to the center of the BNSF and SH36 overpasses, starting Thursday at 7:00 PM, February 24th. This will ultimately close the SH 36 EB entrance ramp for approximately 2 months to construct the permanent entrance ramp. See the attached graphic “EB Traffic Switch BNSF & SH36”. While the SH 36 EB entrance ramp is closed, traffic wishing to head east on IH-10 Main Lanes will be detoured onto the WB frontage road, through the intersection at Rexville Rd., use the U-turn at FM 3558 onto the EB frontage road, and then merge onto IH-10 Main Lanes using the entrance ramp east of FM 3538. See attached detour graphic “IH-10 EB Entrance Ramp at SH36 Detour”.
We will have message boards and detour signage displayed providing guidance.”
