The Mill Creek Watershed Partnership will be holding a public meeting from 6-7 p.m. on Feb.10 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Austin County, 800 E. Wendt St., Bellville.
The meeting will provide updates to the Mill Creek Watershed Protection Plan and give participants the opportunity to discuss local water quality issues and the implementation of the plan.
In-person and virtual attendance options will be available. Participants should RSVP by Feb. 8 to https://tx.ag/MCWPMFeb10. Dinner will be provided to in-person attendees.

“Voluntary stakeholder engagement is imperative for the success of the Mill Creek Watershed Protection Plan,” Spears said. “The upcoming partnership meeting will offer an excellent opportunity to bring our stakeholders together for a meaningful discussion of the project’s accomplishments and implementation priorities for 2022.”
Mill Creek Protection Plan
“The Mill Creek Watershed Protection Plan was developed by the Mill Creek Watershed Partnership, which was formed in response to the elevated levels of E. coli bacteria in Mill Creek,” Spears said. “Upon its acceptance by the Environmental Protection Agency in 2015, this plan has been guiding public outreach and education efforts to restore and protect water quality in Mill Creek.”
