After Hill took the lead in the 50th minute of play, Blinn tied it up in the 70th on an impressive conversion of a corner kick.

Freshman forward Joseph Afful fired his kick from the corner to the far side of the box, where freshman defender Alex Munroe was waiting with a timely header. Munroe crossed his pass to the opposite side of the box, where freshman defender Astin Brace used a nifty header of his own to fire the ball into an undefended corner of the net.

Blinn missed a go-ahead goal by inches with less than a minute remaining when a free kick near midfield off the foot of sophomore defender Philipp Mokwa was deflected at the crossbar by the Hill goalkeeper Dante Olivares and swiftly cleared by the Rebels.

Blinn gets back to work with a home tilt against Houstonians FC at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, at Rankin Field.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 49 national championships since 1987.
