The Faith Academy Lady Knights continued their winning streak in district this past week with two more 3-0 victories! The Lady Knights played The Oaks Adventist School in Houston on Monday and played Lifestyle Christian at home on Tuesday for their annual Pink Out game. In both games the Lady Knights made it a goal for the team to end with a 90% serving percentage and a 2.0 passing percentage, and they achieved that goal for both games! “We’ve been using these district games as an opportunity to set the standard for our play. We don’t want to lower our level of play for our opponent because once we get to playoffs we will be playing a lot tougher teams,” commented Coach Dawson. Top servers for Monday night’s game were Julia Catlett, going 14 for 14 with 10 aces, and Chrislyn Turner, going 14 for 15 with 8 aces. Top passers were Marissa Przyborski with a 2.3 passing average and Hannah Taake with a 2.1 passing average. Top hitters were middle hitter Olivia Catlett with 4 kills and setter Lacy Phillips with 3 kills. The Lady Knights play Temple Christian on Monday night at 5:00 and then have the rest of the week off for the Austin County Fair. The team looks ahead to maintaining their undefeated district record with their last three district games on October 17th, 18th, and 20th.
