Austin County has been hit hard by rains in excess of 10.7 inches (this was the last figure that we heard) of water that fell overnight Sunday Night/Monday Morning. People have been posting pictures of the flooding on social media as well as the police and safety crews posting on their respective social media pages. We were fortunate enough to catch up with County Judge Tim Lapham, who has been busy this whole time, for him to give us a phone interview on the state of the county as well as what all has happened since the rains began.
