Job Title: Part-Time Warehouse Worker - Retail Lumberyard
Location: Austin County, Texas
Job Type: Part-Time
Position Overview: We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Warehouse Worker to join our team at a retail lumberyard. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others. This role involves working outside in the lumberyard, assisting with the organization and management of inventory, and providing top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and practices, always ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Customer Service: Assist customers in locating products within the lumberyard, loading materials, and answering any questions they may have.
- Inventory Management: Organize, stack, and manage lumber and building materials in the yard and warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure that all products are stored and handled properly to avoid damage and maintain quality.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and support the overall operations of the yard.
- Outdoor Work: Be prepared to work outside in various weather conditions as the role primarily involves outdoor tasks.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or outdoor work environment is preferred but not required.
- Dependability: Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent work schedule.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Customer Focused: Friendly and approachable with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in handling and organizing materials.
- Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule: Flexible part-time hours, with availability required on weekdays and occasional Saturdays as needed.
