Job Title: Process Operator

Key Responsibilities: Assist and participate in the safe and efficient operations of the work shift in the Finoric LLC plant in Beasley, Texas. Performs operations of plant production equipment in the production unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintains a safe and clean working environment. Ensures that equipment is maintained in good operating condition and that employees are trained in proper safety procedures before operations.

2. Notifies appropriate plant personnel in emergency situation. Takes emergency action on own authority according to standard operating procedures.

3. Reports to the Production Supervisor or shift group leader.

4. Communicates with the other operators on the shift and other plant operations personnel to meet all manufacturing priorities and customers’ expectations.

5. Operates batch processing equipment which includes the Reactors, pressure vessels, storage tanks, vacuum systems, pumps, charging systems, bulk loading and packaging systems, forklifts, etc.

6. Supports the Unit DCS board operator with the controls and monitoring of the process and operations of unit equipment.

7. Ensures line-ups are correct before materials are transferred.

8. Processes reaction and blending batches according to product manufacturing procedures and equipment standard operating procedures (SOP).

9. Documents batch data on batch sheets, production analysis sheets, control logs, and material records.

10. Reports thorough safety and operational information to the next shift during shift changes.

11. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly unit inspections.

12. Ensures process equipment is maintained through the work order system.

13. Loads and unloads bulk shipments of raw materials and finished products. Ensures that outgoing products are tested and shipped in drums or bulk according to specifications and regulations.

14. Labels and placards packaged material in accordance with company policy and government regulations.

15. Assists with the proper handling of plant / unit wastes as necessary.

16. Supports the guiding principles of Responsible Care to continually improve Finoric plant’s safety, health and environmental performance, security, and efforts to respond to public concerns relating to design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products.

17. Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time” and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties.

18. Supports process improvement initiatives.

19. Supports plant commissioning, start-up, shutdown and maintenance activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 - 4 (or more) years of related chemical production experience. Batch manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Self-starter with a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Team player with good problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shift.
• Knowledge of emergency response in relation to handling to chemical, fire and medical situations.
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Live within 30 miles of Beasley.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
