Full job description

Western International Gas & Cylinders (owned by Matheson Tri-Gas), is a leading wholesale supplier of acetylene, seeks a Production Technician for our Bellville, TX facility. The Technician is responsible for safely handling customers’ cylinders in compliance with standard operating procedures. Training is provided to ensure complete understanding of position and department responsibilities.

Pay: $19 - $20/hour

$2,000 Retention Bonus!

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspects and performs pre-fill testing on compressed gas cylinders and related equipment and materials.
• Loading & unloading of cylinders.
• Performs leak detection on cylinders.
• Labels and safely stores cylinders in appropriate storage areas and maintains proper inventory levels.
• Report any problems or issues with equipment or materials to supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Performs routine maintenance on cylinders, such as basic repair and painting.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent or commensurate experience.
• Previous warehouse experience
• Previous Forklift Experience
• Previous experience with Loading/Unloading
• High attention to detail and safety
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Basic math and reading skills
