Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse electrical projects across commercial, industrial, and renovation sites. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems with precision and safety at the forefront. Duties

  • Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, construction blueprints, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repairs
  • Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues effectively
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation and control functions
  • Maintain compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards while ensuring high voltage and low voltage systems operate safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with construction teams on framing carpentry, conduit installation, and schematic layouts during new builds or renovations
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they impact operations
  • Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents on construction sites or during maintenance activities

Qualifications

  • Valid journeyman electrician license or certification with proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work
  • Extensive hands-on experience with electrical systems on construction sites or renovation projects
  • Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and wiring practices
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment such as multimeters or circuit testers
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high voltage systems, and low voltage wiring
  • Ability to read schematics accurately and translate them into practical installations or repairs
  • Familiarity with construction framing carpentry and handyman skills beneficial for supporting various project needs

Qualifications

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
