Full job description
The Austin County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) is currently seeking qualified applicants for current and future Certified Telecommunicators positions.
Starting pay: $22.27/hour
Step Raises at 1 year
BENEFITS
Medical; Dental; Vision; Life, AD&D, TCDRS County Retirement System (8 years to vesting), Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays; Certificate Pay, Longevity Pay
Telecommunicators work 12 hour shifts and work 15 days each month. Every other weekend off is a 3-day weekend.
Preference will be given to current or retired jailers seeking lateral entry.
Successful candidates must pass the ACSO comprehensive pre-employment background, which includes but is not limited written exam, medical exam, psychological exam, credit history, work history.
