Kids 'R' Kids of Waterside is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as summer camp teacher. This position will transition at the start of the school year in August as an after-school teacher/floating teacher. (Must be 18 years or older and available to work a shift between our hours of operation- 6:30 am- 6:00 pm.)

Camp Teacher:

  • Lead exciting activities and games tailored to specific age groups (e.g., arts & crafts, sports, STEM experiments)
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all campers
  • Help campers develop new skills, build confidence, and make lasting friendships
  • Must be available to work for the duration of the summer camp program (until school starts in August)
  • Keep all appropriate daily records to satisfy Kids ‘R’ Kids, state, health, and federal requirements.
  • Know rules and regulations for state minimum standards and operate your classroom in accordance with these standards.
  • To have a CDL with passenger (Commercial Driver's License) or willing to obtain one (not required).

After-School Teacher:

  • Develop and deliver engaging after-school curriculum that complement classroom learning (e.g., homework help, enrichment activities, clubs)
  • Build positive relationships with students and foster a love of learning
  • Contribute to a team environment that supports student growth and development
  • Floating in various classroom to help other teachers during the day, and then teaching in the after-school classroom in the afternoon.
  • Keep all appropriate daily records to satisfy Kids ‘R’ Kids, state, health, and federal requirements.
  • Know rules and regulations for state minimum standards and operate your classroom in accordance with these standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children (camp counselor, babysitting, tutoring, preschool) a plus
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills and can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain one once hired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
