POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently expanding our culinary team and are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented cook. The Line Cook will be responsible for assisting in the food preparation process. Additionally, the Line Cook will maintain service standards, ensure product quality and consistency, and comply with all health and safety regulations.
MUST pass a UA drug screen - may be administered at time of interview.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Food Preparation (100%)
• Assist in overall daily kitchen operations
• Assist in preparing and cooking food in a timely manner
• Wash dishes, keep kitchen clean, sanitary, and organized
• Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen
• Open/Close kitchen as per schedule dictates
• Assist the Head Chef with any other tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must demonstrate ability to follow policies and procedures as established in the Company’s Employee Handbook and contribute to a positive work environment by behaving and communicating harmoniously with co-workers and management.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Previous kitchen or comparable experience in the culinary industry
• Sufficient education and literacy are needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English
KEY SKILL SET:
• Outstanding culinary skills

• Highly knowledgeable with regard to ingredients and produce
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS:
• Knowledgeable and familiar with sharp instruments, including knives, automatic slicers, graters, and other tools of the culinary trade
• Working knowledge of all standard kitchen equipment
BENEFITS:
• 1 week sick pay (available immediately)
• 2 weeks PTO per year (contingent upon 90-day review)
