Christmas is over and a New Year has begun.  But, that also means more holidays needing candy with Valentines and then Easter following.  So, candy will be on the menu for both of these holidays.  But before you run to the store, here’s an easy recipe for homemade caramel that’s sure to be a hit.

How many ingredients do you need? SIX. Count ‘em:

1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt

You can also try substituting corn syrup with honey or golden syrup. But beware — this recipe can get a little messy and sticky. Other than that, the results are truly delicious!
