Tim Greeson officially launched his campaign for the 85th district of the Texas House of Representatives against current incumbent Stan Kitzman with a lively and engaging event that took place at the Courtyard Wine Bar within the Live Oak Art Center in Columbus, Texas. This historic venue provided the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with meaningful discussions, community spirit, and a dash of entertainment.

Located at 1014 Milam Street in Columbus, the Courtyard Wine Bar is situated within the historic Brunson Saloon at the Live Oak Art Center.  The event allowed the opportunity for attendees to connect with the candidate, understand his stances on critical issues, and enjoy an evening of camaraderie.  The launch party was characterized by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Tim Greeson personally interacted with the attendees, engaging in conversations and addressing their concerns. This personal touch allowed voters to connect with him on a more profound level, making his candidacy seem relatable and genuine.

Supporters had several chances to show their support for Tim’s campaign. A raffle offered the opportunity to win donated prizes, with participants purchasing arms-lengths of tickets for $50. In addition to an open bar and appetizers, the event stretched into the art gallery of the Live Oak Art Center allowing attendees to not only enjoy fine food and company but also to appreciate the local art scene. The fusion of politics and art made for an unforgettable evening where the cultural richness of the district was on full display.

The Greeson campaign is a true family affair, with Tim’s parents and close family and friends actively being involved in the effort. Tim’s mother was in charge of one of the tables where campaign donations were collected, and supporters received a delicious pie in return. This familial involvement spoke to the candidate’s deep ties to the community and his dedication to representing their interests.

Towards the end of the evening, Tim Greeson addressed the crowd for about 30 minutes, sharing his vision for the 85th district. He outlined his positions on key issues affecting the area and the state. He then took questions from the audience.
