Granny’s Helping Hand, a well-known health services provider, is partnering with Veterans Stand Together to host a Resource Fair, “Vittles With Vets“. The event is scheduled for April 29th from 9am-1pm at the Sealy American Legion Hall located at 1630 Meyer Street in Sealy. The aim of the event is to provide access to resources for veterans in rural areas who may otherwise only be available in the greater Katy and Houston area.
Granny’s Helping Hand specializes in In-Home Support and provides various services, including Companionship/Respite Care, bathing/personal hygiene, grooming/dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and transportation services. Veterans Stand Together is a Veterans Services Organization that aims to assist veterans in various areas, including metal health, employment, education, and housing.
Attendees of Vittles With Vets will have the opportunity to access resources from both Granny’s Helping Hand and Veterans Stand Together; a Financial Consultant from Edward Jones, Mental Wellness Professional from the owner of Renewed Mind Counseling & Wellness Services, and information about Inpatient Services from Encompass Rehab Hospital. The event is free and open to all veterans and their families. Complimentary food and prizes will also be offered.
“We are excited to partner with Veterans Stand Together to provide resources to veterans in our community,” said a representative from Granny’s Helping Hand. “We recognize the importance of supporting our veterans and their families, and we hope this event will make a positive impact on their lives.”
