The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host the Fort Bend Regional Vegetable Conference on Feb. 7 in Rosenberg.
The 38th annual event will be from 8 a.m-3:30 p.m. at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, Buildings C and D, 4310 Texas Highway 36 S. Registration will be held from 7:30-8:15 a.m.
The cost is $30 before Jan. 20, and $40 afterwards. Register and pay online at https://tx.ag/FortBendVegConference. To register and pay in person by check or cash, visit the AgriLife Extension office in Rosenberg, 1402 Band Road-Annex Building. Onsite registration at the door will be limited so participants should register in advance.
Five continuing education units for Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide applicator license holders are available—one laws and regulations, one integrated pest management and three general. “The vegetable conference is a celebration of vegetable production along the upper Gulf Coast region,” said Boone Holladay, AgriLife Extension horticulture agent for Fort Bend County. “The counties of Waller, Wharton, Harris, Galveston, Brazoria, Colorado and Austin join with Fort Bend to put on this event focusing on teaching sustainable practices to help producers maximize efficiencies and profitability. This conference will offer something for every producer.”
