The Blinn College women’s soccer team has landed five players on the Region XIV all-conference team.

Following a historic campaign in which the Buccaneers set program records for wins and goals scored, five players who played key roles in that success have been recognized.

Freshman midfielder Eleanor Sargeant was chosen for the first team, while sophomore forwards Emeyda Cruz and Brianna Hoffman along with sophomore defenders Emma Orozco and Bailey Buckner made the second team.

“It’s fantastic to see these players named to the all-region teams,” Blinn head coach Alexandria Jackson said. “They all do an exceptional job of representing the Blinn women’s soccer program academically, athletically, and in the community.”

For a team that went 12-4-1, totaled 76 goals, and was ranked 13th in the final United Soccer Coaches Division I Junior College poll, Sargeant finished the season as the Bucs’ top offensive distributor. She dished out a team-high 12 assists while also scoring five goals herself, including one game-winning tally.
