While the specific theme for this year’s event is still to be decided, Chelsea Humes of the Sealy Chamber of Commerce assures that the celebration will be grander than ever before. The festivities kick off with the Holiday Vendor Blender on Thursday, December 5th, hosted by First United Methodist Church. This event will showcase local businesses, encouraging residents to support our community by shopping locally. All proceeds from the Vendor Blender will benefit the First United Methodist Silver Christmas Angels, who are dedicated to spreading holiday cheer to those in need. Anyone interested in becoming a vendor can contact Jane Ehlert at [email protected] or call 281-773-2468.

The Sealy Jingle Bell Fun Run is returning on Saturday, December 7th. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive Christmas attire for a chance to win the best-dressed award. Non-runners can still join the fun by cheering on the participants—bells will be provided to add to the holiday atmosphere. All proceeds from the run will support the PTA programs at both Sealy and Selman Elementary Schools. If you wish to be a sponsor of the fun run please sign up! Following the fun run, Levine Park will host the Kid’s Fantasy, also on Saturday, December 7th. The event will feature classic carnival food and various food trucks as well as a chance for early Christmas shopping with local vendors. If you want to sign up to reserve your spot please go here. Sponsors are needed to make this event even more magical. Interested parties can reach out to [email protected] or call 979-885-3222.

As evening falls on December 7th, downtown Sealy will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland, filled with glitz and glamor. Once the theme is announced, residents can sign up on the Chamber’s website. Gordon Memorial Library will host the Gingerbread House Contest, inviting families to create and showcase their festive masterpieces. For details on participation and drop-off times, visit the Chamber’s website.

New this year is a self-guided Christmas Light Tour. Enjoy a tour of the most beautifully decorated homes in the area. Check the Chamber’s website for the full map of locations, which will be updated as new entries are added. If your home is decked out for the season, add your address to the list for others to admire your holiday display.

As we eagerly await this year’s event please enjoy last year’s Fantasy of Lights!
