Faith Academy hosted its 6th annual cross-country meet on Saturday, October 12th, welcoming 30 teams to compete on its all-grass, spectator-friendly course. The meet saw substantial growth this year, attributed to the challenging yet accessible nature of the course. This marked the final meet of the regular season, with teams now turning their focus to postseason races and the journey toward the State Meet.

Varsity Boys 5K
The Varsity Boys 5K featured 73 runners, with Jackson Lee of Aggieland Homeschool taking first place, finishing the 3.1-mile race in 16:44. Aggieland Homeschool also claimed the team championship, with Frassati taking second. Faith Academy’s junior, Ethan Stegent, secured a strong 4th place finish, posting a time of 17:14.

 

 

Varsity Girls 3200
In the Varsity Girls 3200-meter race, Hazel Vowell from The Falcons Youth Track Club won with a time of 11:56. Aggieland Homeschool claimed another team championship, with Logos Prep finishing in second. Faith Academy’s junior, Daniella Skardenni, placed 27th with a time of 15:11.

JV Races
Miller Upton from Aggieland Homeschool won the JV Boys 5K, with Aggieland also taking the team championship, followed by Houston Yes Prep SW. In the JV Girls 3200-meter race, Bethany Olson from The Falcons Youth Track Club took first place. Brazosport Christian claimed the team title, with Aggieland Homeschool finishing second.

 

 

Junior High Races
The Junior High Boys race, which featured 93 runners, was won by Daniel Ely, while Southern Miles Club took the team championship, with Aggieland Homeschool finishing second. Faith Academy’s 7th grader, Everett Miglicco, ran a personal best of 13:48 to place 25th. In the Junior High Girls 3200, Heidi Helfrin of Aggieland Homeschool took first place. Faith Academy’s 6th grader, Eva Broadbent, placed 22nd with a time of 16:43. St. Joseph Bryan won the team championship, followed by Aggieland.

Faith Academy will wrap up its season by participating in the CURE-ageous 5K next Saturday in Fulshear, benefiting breast cancer awareness.
