The Lady Knights hosted a game Friday night against district rival Conroe Lifestyle at Keaton Gymnasium. The Lady Knights took a perfect 3-0 district record into last Friday’s game and were looking to continue their dominance by adding another victory over the Lady Victors. They would not disappoint!
The Lady Knights’ defensive intensity and offensive aggression proved to be too much for the Lifestyle Ladies to handle. Faith Academy jumped out to an early 18-0 lead in the 1st period and then cruised to victory with a final score of 47-01 over the Lady Victors. This improves their district record to 4-0. Olivia Catlett led the way with 17 points & 11 rebounds, Hannah Taake had 3 points & 9 rebounds, Julia Catlett had 2 points & 10 assists, Regan Woodley had 5 points & 4 steals, Lacy Phillips and Megan Flores combined for 12 points & 13 steals, and our Player Of The Week Abigail Froehlich came off the bench adding a defensive spark with 5 steals – 3 rebounds – and a personal best 8 points. The Lady Knights put together their best game of the season playing with unity, focus, and most importantly Christ-like behavior giving all the Glory to God.
“This team is so special and God has truly blessed me by allowing me to be called their coach!” Coach Michael Weaver said.
