Alexandra Newcomb was crowned Faith Academy’s 2015 Homecoming queen Friday night.  Alex, the daughter of Michael and Anne Newcomb, was very surprised as she was crowned by last year’s queen, Haylee Maddox.

Currently a member of the Lady Knights Varsity Volleyball team, Alex will also play basketball this fall and softball in the spring.  She serves as President of the National Honor Society, the President of Student Council as well as the Vice President for FFA.  Alex also participates on the Faith Academy FFA Livestock Judging Team and is a member of Knights That Pray.

Alex currently holds the title of Hempstead Watermelon Queen.  She loves the outdoors, especially hunting and target shooting.  Alex is a loyal and enthusiastic football fan, and will always cheer for the fighting Texas Aggies and the Houston Texans.

Her membership at First Baptist Church of Brenham is a big part of Alex’s life.  She participates in her youth group and serves in children’s ministry.  After graduation, Alex plans to attend Texas Tech or Texas A&M where she will pursue a career in Sports Communication.

Pictured with our queen is 2015 Homecoming King, Carson Jeffrey. Carson, the son of Alan and Tori Jeffrey, was crowned during our pep rally on Friday.   Carson serves as President of FFA and is a member of the National Honor Society.  He currently holds the title of 2015 FFA State Champion Tie Down Roper as well as 4 time ACYRA All Around Champion.  When Carson isn’t roping, he is busy with his leather working business.  This young man is very talented and proved that with his win at the Austin County Fair.  He hand carved a belt and was named Grand Champion in his division.  After graduating Carson plans to attend Wharton Junior College and later transfer to Texas A&M where he will pursue a degree in Agriculture Business.
