Teacher Appreciation Week is a time to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of educators. From May 1st to May 5th, Selman Elementary PTA organized a week-long celebration for their teachers. The week was filled with special treats, donated by local businesses and community members, to show appreciation for the work of the teachers.
On Day 1 of Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTA arranged for breakfast from Starbucks and Prasek’s Hillje Smokehouse to be delivered to the teachers and staff. The Sealy community showed their support by donating breakfast (and caffeine) to help the teachers start the week off right. Along with the donated breakfast, there were several Tiger Donors who contributed to the celebration.
Day 2 was filled with sweets and treats, with Something Sugary by Tiffany donating cake pops, Southerly Sweet Treats providing cookies and bread, and Gimme Some Sweets giving cupcakes and Rice Krispy treats. The teachers and staff were delighted by the delicious treats, and the Tiger Donors continued to show their support.
On Day 3, Frydek Roadhouse and Winegarden provided a full lunch for the teachers and staff, including a baked potato bar and four salads. The teachers enjoyed a filling and nutritious meal to help them through the rest of the week.
Day 4 continued the trend of delicious food, with Mesquite Mexican Grill providing a hot and fresh nacho bar, and Sealy Sonic pitching in with refreshing drinks. The teachers were grateful for the tasty lunch, and the Tiger Donors continued to show their support.
On the final day of Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTA put together a Build Your Own Movie Treat Bucket for the teachers to take home and enjoy over the weekend. The bucket was filled with a variety of treats, and the teachers were grateful for the thoughtful gesture.
Throughout the week, the Tiger Donors, including New Day Massage, A Southern Glow Tan and Boutique, and Scoops & Scholars, showed their support for the teachers and staff at Selman Elementary. The donations and support from the community made the week extra special and showed how much the work of educators is appreciated.
