The Buccaneers finished 84-over par for a runner-up finish in the three-team field. Tyler Junior College, ranked ninth nationally by respected golf media outlet Golfstat, earned the team title at 51-over.

Individually, Blinn sophomore Holly Paterson finished 14-over for third place, one shot better than her freshman teammate, Emily Madeley, who carded a 15-over to take fourth. Both Paterson and Madeley were named to the all-tournament team.

Freshmen Natalie Peebles (11th) and Kimberly Tiefenbach (12th) finished 24- and 25-over to crack the top 15.

“The ladies had some ups and downs this week, but they fought all the way until the end,” Blinn head coach David Johnson said. “I was very proud of Emily with a fourth-place finish and Holly with a third-place finish individually and making the all-tournament team. I am positive we will bounce back with a better team performance in two weeks.”

Blinn will compete in the Hal Sutton Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, March 20-21, at The Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City, La.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
