Blinn is now 4-4-1 on the season and 3-4-1 in conference. The game was moved to Veteran’s Park in College Station due to wet conditions at Rankin Field in Brenham.
Blinn battled the Bulldogs to a scoreless tie in the first half and most of the second half, but Navarro managed a goal with about 10 minutes left in the game.
“We held a ranked opponent all the way until the end,” assistant coach Alexandria Jackson said. “We had our chances but couldn’t finish them. Although we didn’t get the results we wanted, I’m very happy with their performance.”
Blinn will travel to No. 1-ranked Tyler Junior College on Wednesday for a conference game at 5 p.m. Tyler (10-0) beat the Buccaneers 2-0 on Sept. 1. The Apaches lead the Region XIV Conference with a 7-0 record.
