The Blinn College men’s and women’s golf teams recently competed in the NJCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship and NJCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship.
Led by head coach David Johnson and assistant coach Gary Belt, the women’s squad placed 1oth, while the men finished 15th.

At Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Fla., sophomore Emily Madely paced the Buccaneer women’s quartet with a 35th-place finish (19-over par) across four rounds of golf. Freshman Pai Tassaneetipagorn followed in 40th place (27-over), and sophomores Natalie Peebles and Kimberly Tiefenbach finished 47th and 58th, respectively.
A total of 15 teams and 86 golfers competed in the women’s tournament. The Blinn women were making their second appearance at the national tournament and bested their 13th-place showing from 2021.

At the Rockwind Community Links in Hobbs, N.M., the Blinn men’s team was led by an outstanding performance from sophomore Jacob Holloway. The second-year Buc carded a 1-under par and placed 15th individually in the four-round, 24-team competition. His highlight of the tournament was a 5-under second round. Sophomore Cason Holzshu (64th) cracked the top half of the field at 13-over. Sophomore Austin Hassell (74th) carded a 15-over.
Freshmen Preston DeSerrano, Ben Jones, and Landon Johnson placed 79th, 126th, and 131st, respectively.
The Blinn men were in the national tournament for the third time in program history.
