Blinn head coach Scott Schumacher said his team struggled to secure the basketball through all four quarters, contributing to his team’s rough night.
“We just turned the ball over entirely too much to be able to come out win top,” Schumacher stated. “It was just a tough game.”
The Buccaneers fell to 1-2 overall.
Blinn freshman forward Tyler Washington had a team-high 15 points, while freshman wing Jaja Sanni added 11.
The Buccaneers will face Champions College in their second and final game of the tournament on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. Blinn then visits Temple College for a 7 p.m. tilt on Tuesday, Nov. 9 before returning home for the start of the first-ever Blue Bell Ice Cream Class on Friday, Nov. 12. The Buccaneers will battle the University of Arkansas Cossatot at 7 p.m. to open the Classic at the Kruse Center in Brenham.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
