The tie moves the Buccaneers to 7-3-2 on the season and 3-3-1 in region play.
“The lads worked very hard for a valuable point today,” Blinn head coach Michael McBride said. “Any point gained on the road in Region XIV is a good point.”

Buccaneer sophomore forward Kamille Kum opened the scoring in the 43rd minute when he netted an assist from sophomore midfielder Felix Mesquita.
Mesquita now has 16 career assists, moving him into a first-place tie for the program record with former Buccaneer Stefan Fevrier-Sildor.
Blinn led 1-0 at halftime.
The Cougars tied the match in the 49th minute and grabbed a 2-1 edge in the 55th.
Kum secured the tie for the Bucs when he scored on a penalty kick in the 87th minute.
Blinn outshot Coastal Bend 21-15, while the Cougars owned a 9-8 advantage in shots on goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kevin Pena made seven saves for the Bucs.
Blinn gets back to work when it hosts Louisiana State University-Eunice for a non-conference match at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Hohlt Park’s Rankin Field in Brenham, Texas.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
