“It’s always nice when you win, especially when it’s a road win in this conference,” said sixth-year Blinn head coach Terry Gamble. “I thought Lexi Higgins had a really good day offensively, Cierra Pesak had a good defensive day, and Don’Yah Cosie blocked really well.”
Higgins, a freshman outside hitter, and freshman right-side hitter Kellen Dorotik paced the Bucs with 11 kills each. Sophomore hitters Jaedyn Newman and Cosie had nine and seven kills, respectively. Freshman setter Chloe Howard had 22 set assists and fellow freshman setter Elizabeth Tyner added 14 to keep the Buccaneer attack moving. At the service line, Blinn served up four aces.
