The Blinn College women’s basketball team continued to meet tough challenges with positive results with an 81-66 non-conference victory over Temple College on Thursday night at the Kruse Center in Brenham.
“This was a fun game to watch at home,” Blinn head coach Jeff Jenkins said. “Both teams got up and down the court and have great athletes and players.”
Jenkins’ statement underlined a battle of undefeated teams as the host Buccaneers entered the tilt at 4-0, while Temple was perfect at 3-0.
Blinn improved its record to 5-0 after leading at the end of all four quarters. The Buccaneers led 18-14 after the first quarter, 40-30 at halftime and 61-47 heading into the fourth.
Sophomore forward Deja Adrian led Blinn with 18 points, freshman forward Tiffany Tullis scored 14, freshman guard Telisha Brown added 10, and freshman guards Allana Thompson and Skylar Barnes chipped in eight apiece.

“This was another team win where 11 players contributed and made plays when they got their opportunity,” Jenkins said.
The Buccaneers will look to extend their unbeaten streak when they visit Western Texas College at 2 p.m. Saturday in Snyder, Texas. The two teams met previously on Saturday, Nov. 6, in Brenham, where Blinn picked up a 75-65 victory. The Buccaneers will then play two more road matchups – at Temple on Tuesday, Nov. 16, and at Cisco College on Thursday, Nov. 18 – before returning to Brenham for a three-game homestand starting with another rematch at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, against Ranger College.
