The Buccaneers (11-6-3 overall) flexed their offensive muscles against the Cadets as eight different players scored a goal, and 11 others finished with at least one assist.

“It’s nice to go into the postseason off the back of a win and a clean sheet,” Blinn head coach  said. “The players got it done at both ends of the pitch this evening. It was a real squad performance with every player contributing toward the win.”

Freshman forward Devon Arnold kickstarted the blowout with a goal off assists from Ethan Lindo and Mathew Williams in the 6th minute.

Freshman midfielder Joaquin Rosales added an unassisted goal in the 31st minute, and sophomore forward Na’el Shalabi took a feed from Rosales in the 35th and turned it into a 3-0 advantage.

Later in the match, freshman midfielder Nawfal Hadj-Hamou, Lindo (a freshman forward), and freshman forward Fernando Arroyo each scored a goal for Blinn, while sophomore midfielder Callum Ellington scored twice, including the final tally of the match in the 80th minute.

Williams, Arroyo, Shalabi, and freshmen John CooperNicolas Rodriguez, and Charlie Goldsmith each notched assists in the second half.

Blinn racked up 45 shots, including 24 on goal, and had 22 corner kicks.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 49 national championships since 1987.
