The Buccaneers earned a 3-0 win in the best-of-five NJCAA match to remain tied for first place with the University of South Carolina Sumter in Group 2.
Starting for Blinn were sophomores Gabriel Lopez, William Bowman, William Rossley, Aaron Lazo and George Francis. Freshmen Ezekiel Bernheim and Connor Frank saw action for the Bucs in rounds two and three.
Up next, Blinn Overwatch will participate in a last-chance qualifying tournament for the National Association of Collegiate Esports Varsity Premier playoffs. The Bucs will face Rochester Institute of Technology at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and a victory would give Blinn a berth in the postseason tournament.
Blinn esports will face Kennesaw State University in a Valorant tilt at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
