To be eligible, student-athletes must post a 3.0 or better grade point average (GPA) and pass a minimum of 12 college-level credit hours.

Forty student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average: baseball players Christopher Benavidez, Tyler Bogusz, Hunter Bond, Alexander Cruz, Grayson Doggett, Bryson Dudley, Cortt Gentry, Jacob Kolkhorst, Marshall Lipsey, and Blaine Zeplin; volleyball players Don’Yah Cosie, Lexington Higgins, Kaylen Kruse, Laneah Lara, and Bojana Marojevikj; men’s golfers Cole Killian, Cole McClellan, Tyler Thomas, and Carson Wray; softball players Alayna Calvillo, Emily Kristynik, Skylar Shanahan, and Madeline Stephenson; women’s basketball players Amillion Fowler, Allana Thompson, and Tiffany Tullis; women’s soccer players Isabelle Bass, Kay-Lynn McCall, and Sofia Penning; football players Bennett Castleberry, Brooks Rigney, and William Thursland; esports athletes Alyssa Bowman, Connor Frank, and Dylan Gerlach; men’s basketball player Alex Tsynkevich; women’s golfer Kimberly Tiefenbach; cheerleader Bianca Garcia; dancer Skylar Cox; and student athletic trainer Emma Mauer.

The volleyball team led all Blinn athletic programs with a 3.54 GPA, while the softball and men’s golf teams followed with GPAs of 3.46 and 3.22, respectively. Baseball had the most honor roll students with 24, followed by football with 23 and men’s soccer with 20.  

“It is an immense honor to oversee a collection of athletic programs which put an emphasis on academic excellence,” Blinn Athletic Director Scott Schumacher said. “Year after year, Blinn College student-athletes continue to excel both in the classroom and on the court and field, and I continue to be both proud and impressed by their success.”

The honor roll is named after former Blinn Athletic Director Don Wilhelm, an NJCAA Hall of Famer who served the College for 10 years.
