The non-conference game was originally scheduled for Oct. 2, but was postponed due to wet field conditions. Blinn played a conference game Saturday, beating Trinity Valley Community College 8-0.
With the win, Blinn is now 9-4-2 on the season.
The Buccaneers scored first about 18 minutes into the game, with Marco Rodriguez Jr. getting the goal on an assist from Israel Macias Martinez. Blinn scored about 30 second later when Dave Danielles found the goal, with Stefan Fevrier Sildor getting an assist.
Blinn added a third goal about 17 minutes into the second half as Crispin Tshimanga got his second goal in two games. Marco Del Vecchio got an assist on Tshimanga’s goal. Kamille Kum capped off the scoring for the Bucs late in the game. Eric Embry assisted on that goal.
Assistant coach Rudy Roediger said the Bucs continue to play team ball.
“Four goals, four assists again,” Roediger said. “The back four played well, midfield played well. Considering we played two games in about 28 hours, I think we did pretty well. We didn’t have as many guys available, but everybody got in who was available. It’s nice to rotate the minutes around. We want to hit our stride as we’re going down the backstretch of the season.”
Blinn continues to add to its school record with every goal scored. The Bucs now have 53 on the season; the previous record was 42 goals in 2019.
Blinn returns to conference action Wednesday, traveling to Jacksonville College for a 5 p.m. game. The Bucs are 5-4-1 in conference with three more league games remaining.
