The Blinn College District invites the community to join it in welcoming the 2024 national champion Blinn College baseball team when it returns to the Brenham Campus on Monday, June 3.
The team is returning from the Junior College World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado, where it won the first national title in program history Saturday evening with a 12-5 win over Northwest Florida State. The Buccaneers are expected to arrive back at Leroy Dreyer Field (1106 West 2nd Street) on the Blinn-Brenham Campus around 5 p.m., where players and coaches will be invited to give remarks.
Fans are encouraged to wear their Blinn gear or blue and white as they welcome the team back to campus.
This marked the ninth Junior College World Series appearance in Buccaneer baseball history and the team’s first back-to-back trips since the Bucs made four consecutive berths from 1962-65.
Head coach Dusty Hart has compiled a 93-32 record in his two seasons at Blinn.
