The Blinn College baseball team has plugged an open date in its schedule with a home tilt against McLennan Community College.
The two teams will face off at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at Leroy Dreyer Field in Brenham, Texas.
The Buccaneers were originally scheduled for a road trip to Region XIV North representative Navarro College on Monday, but inclement weather forecasted for Corsicana, Texas, forced a postponement.
Blinn (25-12, 17-4 Region XIV South) and Navarro are currently working on a makeup date for the Region XIV crossover tilt.
Following Monday’s matchup, the Bucs will open a three-game South series with rival San Jacinto College-North at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, in Houston. Both teams have won eight consecutive ballgames and are tied for first place in the South.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 45 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
