Buccaneers head coach Aaron Kapiko and assistant coaches Kyle Murto and Ryan Lucich invite current high school and incoming college students to attend the two three-day camps, which will take place from 9 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on June 19-21 and July 10-12.
The camp fee is $100 per session or $150 for both sessions. Both camps will be held at the Blinn esports arena on the Blinn-Bryan Campus located at 2423 Blinn Blvd. in Bryan, Texas. Students can sign up online at https://rb.gy/giubs. Campers will receive a Blinn esports t-shirt.
The Blinn esports coaching staff will work with players to strengthen their in-game skills and techniques, teamwork, team bonding, and mental and physical health.
“Any opportunity we get to work with high school kids or college kids in our area, we’re going to jump at that opportunity as much as we can,” Kapiko said. “We want to build the Blinn esports brand in our community and give everyone an opportunity to know what we are about as a program.”
The camp will include Overwatch 2 and Super Smash Bros during the June session and Valorant and Rocket League during the July session.
Blinn is fresh off a successful year which saw the Buccaneer Valorant team capture the program’s first-ever national title with a victorious run in the NJCAA Esports national tournament.
