The Buccaneers’ sixth consecutive win, a 25-10, 25-8, 25-6 triumph, pushed their record to 29-6 overall and 10-4 in region play.
“I thought the girls played well tonight and were focused the entire match,” Blinn head coach Terry Gamble said. “It’s always nice to get a road win.”

NJCAA Division I kills leader Kierslynn Wright added to her season total with a team-best 11 kills against the Pirates. She now has 505 on the year.
Following Wright on offense were freshman hitters LaNeah Lara and Don’Yah Cosie with nine kills apiece. Freshman setter Darby Nash dished out 34 set assists.
On defense, sophomore libero Ellie Turner posted 29 digs to regain the NJCAA lead. Turner has 808 digs this season and leads Indian Hills Community College freshman libero Sasha Vidal, who sits in second with 790.
Nash chipped in with 11 digs and at the net, freshman middle block Zuzia Rut had three block assists and one solo block.
The Buccaneers will attempt to reach the 30-win mark for the second consecutive season when they visit Navarro College at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, in Corsicana, Texas.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
