The Bellville Police Department is currently accepting applications for a qualified applicant to sponsor in the TEEX Basic Police Academy this upcoming Spring. This is a unique opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.
To be considered for the sponsorship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Complete an application obtained from the Bellville Police Department.

Pass a background check.

Successfully pass two oral interview boards: one consisting of a citizen’s interview board and the other of a department interview board.
Interested candidates can obtain an application at the Bellville Police Department, located at 101 E. Palm St., Bellville, TX 77418. Applications are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

In addition to the requirements listed above, applicants must also meet the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) minimum standards for licensing, as defined by TCOLE rule 217.1. This includes being at least 21 years of age before the class end date, which is 20 weeks after the course begins.
