The Bellville Lions Club Opportunities for Youth (OFY) winners competed in the Lions District 2-S5 OFY competition last Saturday in Gonzales and came out with impressive results. The team brought home two first place awards and one second place award.

Leah Kutch, a senior at Bellville High School, took second place in the Outstanding Youth Contest. Jonah Taake, a senior at Faith Academy, won first place in the Diabetes Awareness Essay Contest. Hope Luedeker, also a senior at Bellville High School, took first place in the Drug Awareness Speech Contest.

The Bellville Lions Club is proud of their OFY team and congratulates Leah, Jonah and Hope on their outstanding achievements. Jonah and Hope will now have the opportunity to represent the Bellville Lions Club at the Texas Lions State Opportunities for Youth contests.

The Bellville Lions Club encourages young people to participate in such competitions, as it gives them the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills, and to make a positive impact in their community. The club also thanked the participants for their hard work and dedication and for representing the club with distinction.
