Michelle’s Jewelry Store in Bellville, TX was the victim of a burglary Saturday night. Store video surveillance showed what appeared to be a white male suspect wearing black Nike shoes, grey shorts with orange/red stripes, a black and grey long sleeve shirt, gloves, and what appeared to be a blue handkerchief covering his face. The suspect broke several display cases in the store with a hatchet and made off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Bellville Police Department at: (979) 865-3122. The Bellville Police Department issued a press release about the robbery which appears below with more information:
“*Burglary*!!!!: During the early morning hours of June 25, 2016, police responded to an alarm activated at Michelle’s Jewelry located at 16 South Holland Street in Bellville. When officers arrived at the scene, they noticed that the front glass window had been broken with asphalt rocks and no one was found within the business. Additionally, two glass display cases had been smashed with a hatchet that was left at the scene by the subject. Video surveillance later revealed an unidentified white male wearing black Nike shoes, grey shorts with orange/red stripes, a black and grey long sleeve shirt, and he was also wearing something blue to cover his face and had gloves on. The subject was carrying what appeared to be a Dallas Cowboy pillow case. The subject was light complected with brown hair. The subject took items from the store and then exited the store by the way in which he entered. The subject was in and out very quick.
