The Bellville Hospital Foundation along with ERH Healthcare and TRG hosted a Townhall Meeting Monday night at the Bellville High School Auditorium. The townhall focused on the future of the hospital in light of CHI, the current managing company, terminating their lease agreement. CHI’s management officially ends on May 7, 2019, leaving the status of the Bellville Hospital in question.
The meeting was called to help inform the citizenry of the status of the hospital moving forward. Members of the foundation’s board fielded questions and concerns from citizens as to the future of the their healthcare needs in Bellville. The consensus from the speakers was that the next 60 days were to be the most crucial up to 6 months as cash-flow is established. The bottom line was that the hospital needs community support and patronage if it was to survive. However, based on current assets and possibilities of credit-lines they were confident that the hospital would be able to make it through the transition.
