In a one-sided showdown on the road, the Bellville Brahmas Varsity Football team delivered a remarkable performance, trouncing the La Marque Cougars with a resounding score of 59-0. The game, which took place at La Marque, showcased Bellville’s sheer dominance on both sides of the ball.

From the very start, Bellville displayed their offensive prowess, putting up 21 points in the opening quarter alone. Quarterback Zach Leuschner, a senior standout, exhibited pinpoint accuracy, completing both of his passes for 40 yards and a touchdown. This set the tone for the evening for the Brahmas.

Bellville’s offense was a force to be reckoned with throughout the game. They amassed a staggering 461 total yards, showcasing their versatility. The rushing attack was led by junior DD Murray, who racked up an impressive 146 yards on just six carries, including a sensational 59-yard touchdown run. Senior Sam Hranicky also contributed significantly, adding 107 yards on the ground and catching a 2-yard pass for a touchdown.

While the offense was stealing the spotlight, the Bellville defense was equally outstanding. They held the La Marque Cougars to a scoreless game, allowing them just five first downs. The Cougars struggled with penalties, amassing six for 30 yards, which only added to their woes.

The Brahmas’ all-around excellence was on full display as multiple players contributed to their impressive victory. Landon Schumann, a senior, made a significant impact with 38 receiving yards, while Corrian Hood, a junior, added 100 rushing yards. Additionally, special teams and defensive players, including Davin Sodolak and Seth Sturm, made their presence felt in various facets of the game.

With this commanding win, the Bellville Brahmas maintained their unbeaten record for the season, now standing at 5-0 overall. Their flawless district record of 1-0 positions them atop the district rankings, and their success on the road continues to be a testament to their strength and determination.
