Sunday March 19th was the opening day game for the Miracle League of Austin County Texas. A more beautiful day couldn’t have been asked for. This is the local league’s 4th season and they’re still going strong.
The league is always looking for buddies. What’s a buddy? A BUDDY shadows a player during a Miracle League game. Some players simply need help keeping focused, others need direction with what to do with the ball and others simply need the reassurance of knowing a BUDDY is right there. Being a BUDDY is not hard and Miracle League Staff will provide training and instruction before the game. The reward is indescribable. 25-30 volunteers per game day are needed to serve as Buddies in order to make a game happen.
