The Austin County Sheriff’s Department issued a press release on the death that happened due to the flooding in Austin County. The press release is as follows:
Please be advised that one fatality has been confirmed in Austin County due to the recent rain event. A female resident of Austin County was returning home from work in the early hours of the morning on 4/18/2016 and drover her vehicle into high water and drown on Plumb Creek Road, which is located in Austin County. Her name is being withheld, pending notification of family. In the event of high water over roadways, PLEASE TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN!
